Mike Oulton – From Lock-Up to Light-Up
Life in prison. Life out of prison.
For Mike Oulton, for a long time, there wasn’t much difference. A kid raised on adrenaline, fists, and the chase, he was the kind of guy who looked for trouble the way most people look for love. A street-bred hustler from the 90s, Mike walked through life with his jaw clenched and his heart locked up - chasing fights, fast money, and anything that burned.

That hunger took him south, down to Belize, and straight into the jaws of Mexico’s justice system. He tried to run dope across borders and ended up behind bars instead. And that’s where everything stopped. No noise. No crowd. Just time - and the mirror that never lied.

From that silence came Tiempo, the book that cracked open the truth about consequence, courage, and redemption. Co-written with author Ed Griffin, it’s more than a prison story - it’s a survival manual for the human spirit.

Today, Mike Oulton is a professional entertainer, writer, and keynote speaker - a man who turned his scars into stories and his lessons into fuel. He runs VancouverMC, hosting events that light up rooms and connect people through laughter and honesty. He’s the Lower Mainland's voice of corporate and community celebrations, and a mentor to others rebuilding from chaos.

Off stage, he champions rescue animals through FureverGiving Pet Supply, the world’s first nonprofit pet store - because second chances shouldn’t just belong to people.

Mike Oulton isn’t asking for redemption anymore.
He’s living proof of it.
